Get to know our Painters – Interview with Kinga

This is another post from the series of articles in which you will have opportunity to get to know our team.

Today we want to introduce you to Kinga. She is one our Senior Painters! Without further ado we’re going straight into the interview! πŸ˜€

Do you remember your first figurine that you painted? What are your memories associated with it?

I think it was a Zombicide, a normal walker in a skirt. I have good memories; I remember boasting to all my friends about how beautifully and almost evenly I applied the contrasts with brush xD.

Which of the painted figurines (that stood out to you) brought you the most joy during the painting/creative process and why?

Eidolon of Mathlann, because that’s where I first played with colors. Mortarion, because that’s where I first properly applied color theory. And all the figurines that are inspired by Japanese culture, like Rising Sun, but that’s because it’s my thing πŸ”₯

What are your favorite painting techniques, and how do they influence your artwork?

Using unconventional colors as a base or highlight. Unfortunately, not everyone likes it, so sometimes I have to give up on it πŸ™

If you could paint any model without time constraints, what would you choose?

Someday I would like to paint a full diorama, with a background and everything. For example, some action scene or a scene set in a natural environment.

Do you draw inspiration from specific artists? Whom do you follow on Instagram?

Pinterest is my main source of inspiration, so I don’t have specific individuals that I follow.
