Minis For War Painting Studio

Events – Get To Know Our Studio – Tools

The tools we use in Minis For War:

1.The knife we have always used is the Olfa SAC-1. It is an extremely durable and robust tool.We use it to clean the mould dividing lines and cut off small, precise parts.

2. We have been testing the cutting pliers from various manufacturers for a long time. Finally, we decided on Tamiya products. They are sharp, precise and quite durable. They can easily withstand cutting out several thousand figures from frames 🙂

3. In the studio we use two types of glue – CA (superglue) and plastic glue. CA is used to glue metal and resin models. Revell Contacta is a great product for plastic models. The needle enables very precise application.

4. Filling is an important part of the process of preparing figures. We have to make sure that no gap is missed. In our workshop we use Miliput (green stuff) and Vallejo and Mr. Hobby putties.

5. Other important tools are files, micro drills and dental instruments. As you can see, we have quite a lot of tools in the workshop!

However, it is worth remembering that the most important thing is a solid craftsman, who can select and use the right tools and materials.
