Cookie Policy
What’s the Deal with Cookies?
You see banners about them everywhere, but here’s the simple breakdown, MFW-style.
Cookies are tiny text files that our website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit. Some are essential for the site to function (like keeping your shopping cart together), while others help us understand usage, remember your preferences, or deliver relevant ads. You are in full control of the non-essential ones.
Cookies are processed by B.C. MINIATURES Bartosz Chrulski, the Data Controller identified in our Privacy Policy.
How We Use Cookies (The Four Types)
We’ve grouped our cookies into four categories. You are in full control of three of them.
1. Essential (Strictly Necessary) Cookies
- What they do: These are non-negotiable. They make the core functions of our store work, like letting you add models to your cart, keeping you logged in, and processing your order.
- Can I turn them off? No. The site simply won’t work without them.
- Legal basis: Strictly necessary exemption under ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3), and contractual necessity under GDPR Art. 6(1)(b).
2. Functional Cookies
- What they do: These cookies remember your preferences to make your visit more personal, like remembering your preferred language or currency.
- Can I turn them off? Yes. The site will still work, but you might have to re-enter your preferences each time.
- Legal basis: Consent under ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3) and GDPR Art. 6(1)(a).
3. Analytical Cookies
- What they do: These help us understand how you (and other hobbyists) use our site. We use tools like Google Analytics to see which pages are popular, how people find us, and where they might be getting stuck. This helps us improve the store for everyone.
- Can I turn them off? Yes.
- Legal basis: Consent under ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3) and GDPR Art. 6(1)(a).
4. Marketing & Advertising Cookies
- What they do: These cookies are used by us and our advertising partners (like Meta and Google Ads) to show you ads that are relevant to your interests on other websites and platforms you visit. They also help us measure how effective our ad campaigns are. This is known as “cross-contextual advertising”.
- Can I turn them off? Yes. If you turn these off, you’ll still see ads online, but they just won’t be tailored to you.
- Legal basis: Consent under ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3) and GDPR Art. 6(1)(a).

Your Choice: How to Manage Your Cookies
On Your First Visit
You’ll see a cookie banner. This is your control panel. You can:
- Accept All cookies,
- Reject non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing will be blocked),
- Manage Preferences and toggle each category on or off individually.
Changing Your Mind Later
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page on our site. No need to re-visit the banner or clear your browser.
Browser-Level Control
You can also manage cookies directly in your browser. Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. Here are the instructions for popular browsers:
Heads up: Disabling essential cookies will prevent the site from functioning properly (e.g., your shopping cart won’t work).
Google Consent Mode v2
We use Google Consent Mode v2 to respect your preferences when you interact with Google services (Analytics and Ads). When you decline analytics or marketing cookies, Google services receive a signal that limits data collection while still allowing basic, anonymized measurement (so we know roughly how many people visited, without identifying you personally).
How Long We Store Your Consent
Your cookie consent preferences are stored for 6 months in a small cookie on your device. After this period, we’ll ask for your consent again. This is in line with guidance from the European Data Protection Board (EDPB).
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. We currently rely on our cookie banner for consent management and do not differentiate based on DNT signals, because there is no universal standard for how websites should respond to them. If you want to disable tracking, please use our cookie banner or your browser’s cookie settings.
