Warmachine Adepticon 2026: Menoth, Dusk & Super Heavies

Warmachine Adepticon 2026 Reveals: New Armies and Massive Centerpieces

Adepticon 2026 brought a massive wave of news for the Iron Kingdoms.

Steamforged Games took the stage to show off exactly where Warmachine is heading this year, and they delivered hard. We are looking at brand new factions, the return of classic fan favorites, and some of the biggest centerpieces the game has ever seen.

Keeping track of all the new rules, changing box sets, and massive model drops is a lot of work, so we gathered all the major reveals from the keynote right here.

The Warmachine 2026 Roadmap

Steamforged laid out a heavy schedule for the rest of the year. The studio is pushing out brand new armies, dropping huge reinforcements for existing factions, and completely overhauling how the game is packaged and played. Classic players got a huge dose of nostalgia, while the organized play scene got some serious quality-of-life updates. Here is the breakdown of what is hitting the tabletop.

Fane of Nyrro & Packaging Changes

The elves of Dusk are getting their second army with the Fane of Nyrro. Releasing in June, these original Eldritch function entirely around a vampiric power mechanic. Frontline casters like Hysenne the Executioner gain power by devouring enemies and spend it to unleash huge attacks. They rely on bestial, hit-and-run warbeasts like the Strigon and Vordak instead of traditional warjacks.

Steamforged is also using this release to change how armies are packaged. The old Battlegroup Boxes are gone. Starting with the Fane, new armies will launch with a Command Cadre and individual warbeasts, followed quickly by two complete 50-point army bundles to make jumping into a full game much easier.

The Return of Menoth

The biggest crowd-pleaser of the event was the official return of the Protectorate of Menoth. The religious fanatics are heading back to the table in October 2026 under the new Covenant of the Flame army. Steamforged showed off the new warcaster Stallos, Shield of the Righteous, sitting on a 40mm base, alongside a massive new version of the Blood of Martyrs character warjack and the classic Crusader chassis.

Kithguard Centerpieces

The Trollblood Kithguard are bringing heavy firepower and a unique “ambush” playstyle to the table. The keynote revealed renders for two massive centerpieces. First up is the Fortress King, a colossal awakened stone megalith on a 120mm base that acts as a physical trapdoor marker for the army’s tunneling mechanics. Right alongside it is General Gunnbjorn, who is now riding an 80mm tank and carrying his iconic bazooka.

The Super Heavies

If you like absolute units, Steamforged is dropping four massive new Super Heavies for the existing factions. House Kallyss gets the reborn Imperatus, which switches between three Phoenix forms and must be killed twice. The Shadowflame Shard gets the Shadow Seraph, a heavily defensive beast that casts a reactive animus every time it is attacked. The Brineblood Marauders are getting Ol’ Scuttlebutt, a Pyg-crewed transport that slingshots friendly models forward. Finally, the Cygnar Gravediggers get Bandit, Alison Jakes’ loyal warjack upgraded to a massive 80mm chassis.

Rules & Organized Play Updates

To make the game more approachable, the bloated Command Card system is getting compressed. Every player will now have the same five cards. Each card has two options, forcing you to make tough tactical choices since a card can only be used for one of its abilities per game. For the community builders, the classic Pressganger program is officially returning at the end of April through Longshanks, allowing tournament organizers and demo runners to earn points for exclusive merchandise.

Getting Your Army Tabletop Ready

Between the giant Kithguard tank, the massive new Super Heavies, and entire 50-point bundles dropping for the Fane of Nyrro, there is a lot of resin and plastic heading our way. Getting these huge centerpieces and full army boxes painted takes a serious amount of desk time.

If you want your new Menoth crusade or Dusk vampires looking intimidating on the table the week they release, send us a message. We paint, you play.
