The Best Warhammer 40k Painting Commissions to Inspire Your 11th Edition Army
With the Armageddon box dropping soon, 11th Edition is officially here.
It is the perfect time to start a brand new army. Over the years, thousands of Warhammer 40k models have crossed our desks.
Today, we are opening the studio archives. We want to showcase our best Warhammer 40k painting commissions with forces which are present in Armageddon setting.
If you are planning new new Space Marines or Orks army for the new edition, start right here.

Defenders of the Ash Wastes: Imperial Forces
The Armageddon warzone is a brutal meat grinder and you need highly disciplined forces to hold the line against the green tide.
And properly painted.
Blood Angels and the Sanguinius Freehand
Every awesome 40k army needs that one centerpiece that makes your opponent pause before deployment. When the player behind this Blood Angels project shared their vision for a custom transport, we knew we had to go big. They wanted a completely unique focal point, so we picked up the brushes and painted a detailed, freehand portrait of Sanguinius directly onto the front hull armor.
To support that heavy transport on the tabletop, we added two Redemptor Dreadnoughts and an Apothecary Biologis into the mix. We tied the entire detachment together with smooth red armor, glowing green OSL effects, and shattered urban rubble bases. The result is a one-of-a-kind collection, boxed up and ready to drop straight into the action.

Ultramarines Display Tier Army
When a client asks for a full Display tier Ultramarines task force we are always excited to hit the workbench. We painted the core infantry in high-contrast blue, laying down smooth volumetric highlights.
The real showstoppers are the three custom Redemptor Dreadnoughts. The player wanted the sarcophaguses exposed, so we opened up the chassis armor and added a fierce orange OSL glow radiating from the internal pods.
The characters match that same intense detail, featuring crackling lightning painted across the power swords. Tied together on dark rock bases with bright yellow tufts, this massive collection is boxed up and ready for the tabletop.

Massive Black Templars Crusade
Sometimes the best part of the hobby is simply dropping a massive crusade onto the tabletop. When this player asked us to paint their huge Black Templars collection at our Standard tier, the goal was clean, consistent execution across the board. Getting dozens of Terminators, Outriders, Drop Pods, and heavy tanks ready for the battlefield is exactly how we help clear that grey plastic backlog.
We kept the iconic black armor with clean edge highlights and added intense yellow OSL to the vehicle headlights for a sharp, striking contrast.

Salamanders Combat Patrol
Grabbing a Combat Patrol is a perfect way to jump straight into an 11th Edition escalation league. For this Salamanders project, the player wanted to get their new force ready for the Armageddon warzone without spending weeks at the hobby desk.
We painted the classic green armor and put every model on a glowing magma base. The force includes Adrax Agatone, core squads of Assault Intercessors and Infernus Marines, and an Invader ATV. As a cool extra detail, we added a burnt metal heat bloom effect to the pyreblaster muzzles. Now this box is fully painted, packed up, and ready for round one of the league.

The Green Tide: Unleashing the Ork Waaagh!
You cannot have an Armageddon campaign without a massive Ork invasion. The defending Space Marines need something terrifying to fight on the tabletop.
Wazdakka Gutsmek Display Tier Centerpiece
Every Waaagh! needs a proper boss. For this Ork collection, the player wanted a custom Wazdakka Gutsmek painted to our Display tier, with a small freehand on his motorbike jacket.
We even made sure the tiny Grot gunner hanging off the back got plenty of detail.

Ghazghkull Thraka in Heavy Gunmetal
When you are running a Waaagh! in the new Armageddon campaign, getting Ghazghkull Thraka on the table is a must. For this project, the player wanted a dark, heavy look, so we painted the mechanical armor in cold gunmetal.
To contrast the dark metal, we added an intense orange and yellow OSL effect radiating from the ground up. The light reflects across the lower armor panels, his back mechanics, and the edges of the power claw and rotary cannon. It makes Ghazghkull look like he is stomping straight through a raging fire or an industrial forge.

Motorised Ork Speed Waaagh!
When you want to run a massive Ork motor pool in the new Armageddon campaigns, getting all those vehicles painted takes a ton of time at the desk. For this project, the player asked us to handle a huge swarm of Warbikes, Deffkoptas, and Megatrakk Scrapjets so they could just focus on playing.
We painted the hulls in a weathered red, adding heavy chipping and rust effects so they look like they just survived a scrap. We tied the whole force together with custom industrial bases using textured diamond plates and rusted metal debris.

Prepare Your Forces for the Ash Wastes
A new edition drop is always an awesome time for the hobby. But it usually means staring down a mountain of grey plastic. Finding the hours to build and paint everything for the Armageddon campaigns is tough, especially when you just want to get some games in.
We can take those brush hours off your plate. We handle the assembly and the painting. Your only job is unboxing the models, learning the 11th Edition rules, and actually rolling some dice.
