Minis For War Painting Studio

TOP 10 – 3D Printed Models Patreon – Fantasy / July 2021

Hello Wargamers!

3d printing is the new reality for all miniatures fans. Hundreds of new models appear on Patreon, Kickstarter and stores like Myminifactory every month. Dozens of talented creators share their work, which often makes every modeler’s heart beat faster. I decided to prepare my TOP10 best Patreons from July 2021. This “article” will be divided into two parts, the first dedicated to fantasy models and the second to sci-fi figures. Enjoy and support independent creators!

  1. BESTIARUM MINIATURES

Definitely one of my favourite creators. They specialize in grimdark sculptures and I totally love it! This month they decided to create Mythicon Gladiators pack. Just one word – AMAZING!

2. RN ESTUDIO

As a fan of Witcher universe I couldn’t pass by such a gem 🙂 Witcher Contract Vol.2  is full of well-known characters from games and books. Hello Triss and Vernon Roche 🙂

3. SIGNUM WORKSHOP

Very detailed pack of models dedicated to many factions created by studio’s artists – Ophidian Alliance, Vampire Hunters, Vampires of Styx (the Bloodthirsty Pack), and Skagard, Warriors of the North. I think especially viking and lizard-naga model is great!

4. The Dragon Trappers Lodge

We all love dragons, don’t we? If you are looking for a big, final monster for your D&D game, this Patreon is a correct place! Some of dragons have sci-fi tweaks like guns/armour but overall design is just perfect. 🙂

5. DAYBREAK MINIATURES

Busts are really challenging to paint – big scale, advanced details. This is a great way to improve your skills. I found Daybreak Miniatures not so long ago and I’m happy to see Warcraft vibes here and there 🙂 I will keep an eye on future releases of this Studio!

6. LOST KINGDOM MINIATURES

Lost Kingdom is a well known producer of alternative models for Warhammer / Age of Sigmar. I backed their Kickstarter with Brettonia-style minis not so long ago! This month they decided to release very interesting Goblins in medieval Mongols style. I love that kind of creativity! LK models are also very well designed and pre-supported. Highly recommend 🙂

7. CLAY CYANIDE MINIATURES

I follow this Studio from the beginning of their work on Patreon. I liked some of their model series a lot, others a little less. This month they released a set of large monsters and dragons that don’t have a single theme. However, they are all interestingly designed and worth a look.

8. CAST n PLAY

All of their models have a cartoonish, somewhat exaggerated look. I am not a fan of this style, but in the case of Cast n Play studio I can only politely bow and click subscribe. They do an excellent job! This month I especially like the scenery elements.  Be sure to check out their Patreon!

9. CRIPPLE GOD FOUNDRY

If you need some cool models for maritime adventures – I found a nice Patreon for you! This month Cripple God Foundry released a huge set called Abyssal Waters. Sirens and Shark-Warriors are my personal favourite! 🙂

10. ARTISAN GUILD

That’s old, renown creator of 3D models for printing. Artisan Guild released hundreds of miniatures and this month they decided to share Thieves Guild pack where you can create your own warband of shady characters 🙂 They could give a little bit more of models but overall design is solid. Can’t wait for next releases!

And that’s all, my TOP 10 Patreons with fantasy miniatures in July 2021. 🙂 This is the first time I am trying to create this kind of “article” so I’m sure style will change somewhat in the future. Take care on you!
