When someone says "American paratrooper," you probably picture Easy Company jumping into Normandy. The 101st Airborne Division has that kind of iconic status - from Band of Brothers to Call of Duty, these guys are the face of WW2 airborne operations.
This commission brought together everything that made the Screaming Eagles legendary: tough paratroopers, specialized weapons teams, and the vehicles that kept them moving. We started with the US Airborne Starter Set, giving us 36 plastic miniatures armed with M1 Garands, Thompson SMGs, and BARs - the classic American firepower combo.
But paratroopers need more than rifles. The heavy support came next: a 57mm anti-tank gun for dealing with German armor, medium mortar teams for indirect fire, and that beautiful .50 cal HMG that could chew through anything the Wehrmacht threw at them. We added extra .30 cal MMG teams because when you're dropped behind enemy lines, you need all the firepower you can carry.
The specialists rounded out the force perfectly. Bazooka teams for tank hunting, sniper teams for precision elimination - these guys knew their jobs and did them well. The M3A1 Half-Track provided mobile cover while the M4 Sherman brought the heavy guns when things got serious.
Building a proper Bolt Action army means balancing all these elements while keeping everything game-legal and competitive. Maybe you've been eyeing your own, but got overwhelmed trying to figure out which units work together and how to make them look like they actually fought together.
We handle everything from army planning and purchasing to assembly and painting, so your paratroopers hit the table looking like they just jumped out of a C-47.
