We told them not to. We warned them, "Do not lick the ice lake bases."
But they're Ogors. Of course they licked them. The hunger was just too strong. We had a brief, very loud panic in the studio before we got the bright idea to light a nearby Mawpot. A lot of steam and some very angry grumbling later, we managed to get them unstuck.
All jokes aside, this project was the ultimate test of consistency. This new wave of Ogors was a reinforcement batch for a client's existing army. Our mission was to perfectly match the original cold, icy theme and replicate those custom cracking ice lake bases, down to the last icicle.
This is the biggest fear of any long-term army project. You're building your collection in smart, separate stages. But what if the second batch, painted months later, doesn't match the first? What if the colors are slightly off, or the basing looks new? That's the "patchwork army" fear, and it can stop a collection in its tracks.
That’s why, for every project, we create a detailed, saved paint formula. Whether you come back to us in three months or three years, we can pull up that formula and guarantee that your new wave of reinforcements will look like they came from the exact same brush as the first. No guesswork, no fear. Just a perfectly cohesive, growing army.
