Most mercenary companies check your resume. This one checks your curse level. We’ve got a walking volcano, a wizard who literally can't quit his job, a convict who forgot her name, and a queen with a sword that drives people mad. This project was about gathering the most notorious outcasts of the Iron Kingdoms into a single force.
The client wanted to showcase the variety of these characters, from the magma-wreathed rage of Krueger to the cold, spectral witchfire of Alexia Ciannor. Grouping such distinct models: fire, ice, metal, and magic, can often look chaotic on a display shelf. Our goal was to ensure they looked like a team, albeit a highly dysfunctional one. We used consistent basing and lighting tones to tie these disparate monsters together, ensuring that Prisoner 102822 and Koldun Lord Korovnik look right at home next to elemental disasters.
