Red is for parades in the capital, but white is for war.
That was the driving idea behind this Khador project, moving away from the studio standard to something that feels like it actually belongs in the frozen north of the Iron Kingdoms. We skipped the complex camo patterns to focus entirely on the heavy winter coats: keeping them crisp, clean, and absolutely chalk-free.
Let’s be honest, white is the "final boss" of miniature painting. One bad layer and the whole model looks rough, which is exactly why so many cool winter concepts never leave the grey plastic stage. You want that cold, industrial aesthetic, but you don't want the headache of battling with thin pigments for hours.
We handled the hard part so this force looks like a unified wall of iron and ice, ready to grind the opposition into the snow. If you have a faction that needs a difficult color scheme to look its best, don't let the fear of a bad paint job freeze your plans.
