Seeing a fully deployed Astra Militarum regiment lined up on the table hits different. It is the ultimate fantasy for an Imperial Guard player - endless ranks of infantry supported by a massive parking lot of heavy armor, ready to hold the line against anything the galaxy throws at them.
For this massive project, we went with a white digital camo scheme across the entire force. From the command squad around Lord Solar Leontus down to the heavily weathered tracks of the Baneblade and Valkyrie gunships, keeping that digital pattern consistent across hundreds of models and multiple vehicle chassis was a fun, serious challenge.
The result is a unified, cold-weather strike force that looks incredible arrayed on the battlefield.
Building and painting a few squads is one thing, but tackling a full Guard regiment is easily one of the biggest time sinks in the hobby.
