Every Ork Waaagh! has a hierarchy. You have the Boss at the top, the endless tide of Boyz at the bottom, and right in the middle, keeping everyone in line, are the Nobz. They are bigger, meaner, and have better gear than the rest of the mob, so they deserve a paint job that reflects their status as the "Dead 'Ard" elite.
For this section of the commission, we applied our High Level to the Nobz and specialized units.
Need something more eye-catching? With this level, we add in extra details and sharper highlights. You can see the difference in the armor panels, where we’ve pushed the contrast to make the edges pop, and in the weaponry, which features more defined weathering and distinct metal tones compared to the rank-and-file troops.
This approach creates a clear visual distinction on the tabletop. It allows your elite squads to stand out from the green tide without overshadowing the true centerpieces of your army. It’s the perfect middle ground for units that are too important to be basic but are fielded in squads rather than individually.
