Minis For War Painting Studio

AoS – Painted Skaventide Starter Set

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Skaventide - Finally Here and Painted

Two weeks after the release we already painted the brand new Warhammer: Age of Sigmar Skaventide Starter Set.

A united Champions of Sigmar handing clanging swords, heavy warhammers and shiny armors meets the storm of grey fur and sharp claws, powered by the wrath of the Horned Rat!

Miniatures Spotlight: Stormcast Eternals

Lord-Vigilant on Gryph-stalker

The coolest Stormcast Eternal dude in the Skaventide box is definitely the Lord-Vigilant on Gryph-stalker. This mini is amazing – like, seriously detailed! From his awesome cloak to the fiery ax that looks like it could melt anything on its way, it’s just packed with cool stuff to look at. This guy is a real showstopper!

Lord-Terminos

You’ve probably seen him around – he’s all over Games Workshop stuff, even on the main rulebook cover. He just looks so serious and tough, like the Stormcast Eternals are getting a little darker these days. This mini makes you think there might be more to these guys than meets the eye, even though they’re supposed to be the good ones.

Lord-Veritant

This Lord-Veritant with his crow buddy is basically Lord-Terminos 2.0, but way cooler! (Think shaved head, scars, and a blindfold – super intense!) He’s got this burning staff and sword combo that gives off some serious religious vibes, kind of like those old preacher minis from the Warhammer Fantasy days.

Knight-Questor

The new Knight-Questor mini blows the old one out of the water! This one is way cooler. Just look at it: big cloak billowing out, foot on a rock like they’re conquering a mountain, and this torch and sword held high. This mini screams “adventure” way more than the last one. It’s like they’re charging headfirst into some old mine, waiting for Skavens to appear out of nowhere!

Reclusians and Memorians

These Reclusians are no slouches in the looks department – they’re still fantastic sculpts with tons of character. They might not have the same flashy flourishes as the big guys, but that’s because they’re laser-focused on getting the job done. Think of them as the silent but deadly “specialists” of the Stormcast Eternals!

Prosecutors

Get ready for a serious upgrade for the Prosecutors! Forget those spiky, art deco wings – now Sigmar’s angels divebomb in with wings of pure astral fire! These guys are basically flying Vindictors, but those wings are incredible!

Liberators

Say goodbye to those chunky gold Liberators that caused a mini-meltdown back in the day! They’ve been replaced by a way cooler version in the Skaventide box. These new guys (and gals!) are more like the awesome Vindictors, offering some build options with hammers and shields. They might not be the most eye-catching minis, but the sleek upgrade is a big win for the Stormcast Eternals!

Miniatures Spotlight: Skavens

Clawlord on Gnaw-beast

The Skaven Clawlord on Gnaw-beast is the complete opposite of the Lord-Veritant on Gryph-stalker, and it’s exactly what Skaven fans have been waiting for! This impressive miniature takes everything we love about the Stormcast Eternal hero and twists it into a horrifying nightmare. It’s a perfect blend of creepy character and masterful design.

Grey Seer

The Grey Seer is a legendary foe in Warhammer lore, both in books and games. This essential Skaven unit gets a fantastic update in the Skaventide box!

Right behind Lord-Terminos, the Grey Seer is one of the most impressive miniatures in the set. This iconic villain gets a perfect redesign, perched atop a shattered bell overflowing with rats!

Warlock Engineer

The Warlock Engineer gets a major upgrade in the Skaventide box! This classic Skaven model has come a long way. While the old design was basically a rat with some basic tech, the new sculpt captures the essence perfectly, but with a modern, detailed look that brings it to life!

Ratling Warpblaster

The Ratling Warpblaster is a fantastic model, both wickedly cool and hilariously horrifying! This quintessentially Skaven miniature features four unfortunate rats pushing a fifth, who gleefully rides a massive weapon. It perfectly captures the Skaven’s blend of fearsome and ridiculous!

Rat Ogors

Don’t let the name fool you, the Rat Ogors are some of the most impressive models in the Skaventide box! These hulking, muscle-bound rats (think steroid-fueled!) are beautifully sculpted and come with a variety of head options for customization.

Warplock Jezzails

Just like the Ratling Warpblaster, the Warplock Jezzails perfectly capture the Skaven essence – a mix of crazy and terrifying! These three unique and super fun miniatures are basically rat snipers, which are equal parts cool, horrifying, and hilarious.

Clanrats

Finally, the horde of Clanrats arrives! These 40 sculpts are a massive upgrade from the older Warhammer Fantasy models, boasting tons of detail. While the Liberator rework might feel game-changing, the Clanrat update is arguably even more significant.

These iconic creatures are the backbone of the Skaven army, and their detailed sculpts should be a huge win for Skaven fans who’ve been waiting for a refresh. The wait is over – it’s time for the Skaven to shine!

Miniatures Spotlight: Terrains

The Skaventide box isn’t just about miniatures! It also includes four awesome terrain pieces designed to look like shattered remnants of Sigmarite architecture. These will add some great depth and character to your Age of Sigmar 4.0 battlefields!
