Zombicide – Iron Maiden Expansions

Iron Maiden expansions rock out the Zombicide!

Zombicide, published by CMON – one of the biggest Board Game producers – is a game that tosses you and your friends in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. And your goal is to shoot your way out of it! The publisher also strongly focused on collaboration with many well known franchises (like the Boys, ThunderCats and Ghostbusters). However, in this post we wanna go straight into the hearts of Heavy Metal fans. We present to you a set of 3 Iron Maiden expansions for the Zombicide!

Note that nearly all of these miniatures are also compatible with other CMON games such as Massive Darkness 2, Cthulu: Death May Die, Rising Sun and Ankh.

Eddie’s Everywhere!

All miniatures in the three expansions are different versions of Eddie – the mascot of the Iron Maiden band. They are his versions from different album covers (sadly, not all of them). They can be used on both sides – Survivors and Zombies. Each of the miniatures comes with its own rules, making your ever-green Zombicide even more replayable.

Compatibility with other Games

As we said before, the miniatures from the Iron Maiden expansions are not only for the Zombicide, but for many of the CMON board games. However, as those are mainly a Zombicide expansions they only offer a few twists per box for the other of the games.  But hey, it will be nice to have those Eddie miniatures in other games, won’t it?

Tidbit Corner - Short Story of Eddie

Iron Maiden’s mascot, Eddie, has a wilder story than most band logos. It all began as a gruesome prank – a papier-mâché mask that spurted fake blood during live shows. The band loved it and nicknamed it “Eddie.”

When it came time for their first album cover, they needed a powerful image. Enter Derek Riggs, an artist who sketched a perfect Eddie – a snarling punk rocker, originally for a different band! With some tweaks, Eddie became Iron Maiden’s official mascot.

But Eddie wasn’t content staying still. On albums, he’s morphed into everything from a mummified pharaoh to a lobotomized patient, perfectly reflecting the music’s themes. He’s a giant on stage, a video game hero, and even shredded with Tony Hawk! Eddie’s not just an image, he’s a living, ever-changing embodiment of Iron Maiden’s heavy metal spirit.
