“Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet”
Hello there!
Today we want to show you three very special armies for the game known as Warmaster.
Rick Priestley created the Warmaster ruleset for tabletop wargames, which is set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe and is distributed by Specialist Games (a branch of Games Workshop). Both in terms of appearance and gameplay, it differs from Warhammer Fantasy Battles. It is meant for miniatures between 10 and 12 mm (with few exceptions, like one shown below, which is only 3mm scale). A unit of basic troops normally consists of three stands. Heroes, generals, and wizards can ride alone or with a retinue.
Command and control are the main game mechanics. Although magic is used in the game, its impact is minimal. The game is made to put more of an emphasis on the general’s leadership skills than just the fighting prowess of his army.
This was the first time we painted such small miniatures (more like microtures haha). It needed a lot of patience and skill due to all these tiny details, but finally we managed this challenge.
