Freehand Painting on the Cerastus Knight Castigator
Today we want to show you a quite unusual project. It’s the Cerastus Knight Castigator from the Warhammer Horus Heresy. What makes this miniature so unique is a freehand painting on one of the shin guards. It was made by Ewa – one of our Senior Painters. The freehand represent Delta, a character from Eminence in Shadow (jp. Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!)

What’s the Eminence in Shadow?
The Eminence in Shadow is a classic isekai tale with a twist: the protagonist, Cid Kagenou, isn’t an average reincarnated hero. He’s a self-proclaimed “shadow broker,” a master of covert operations and underhanded tactics.
Cid’s journey is a masterclass in subtlety and deception. He forms a shadow organization, recruits a loyal band of followers (including the mysterious Delta), and manipulates events from the background, all while maintaining a low profile. It’s like watching a real-life isekai game, where Cid is the ultimate dungeon master, pulling the strings and shaping the narrative.
