Where did the idea for the terrains come from?

Over the past year, we’ve expanded our range of bases and confirmed that players are paying more and more attention to how their models look on the table and in display cases. Building on this momentum, we’ve decided to start planning a series of terrains that would complement our existing products. Our goal is to allow players to fully immerse themselves in the world of wargaming, with no compromises – showcasing painted armies surrounded by outstanding terrain. We’re kicking off with a pilot series: forest, desert, martian and lava, and we’ll see what the future holds!

We want our terrains to be handcrafted, and the biggest challenge is sculpting the right shapes from the material we use (XPS). It’s a fairly tedious process, and we’re constantly working on ways to improve it.

Ready-made terrains are, above all, a huge time-saver – you just take them out of the box and place them on the table. No need to worry about painting, gluing, trimming, or touch-ups – you can focus on what matters most: fully enjoying the game.”

How about the making process?

“Our terrains are made from hand sculpted XPS with addition of sand and pebbles. Then they’re painted to match our bases and playmats from our partner. Each set has a little twist! For example, the Lava set is enriched by the lava itself – made from the painted hot glue and the Forest set uses one of our special mixes of sprinkles. Each Terrain set is then impregnated with PVA glue which increases its damage resistance.

As a player I appreciate battle-ready terrains on the table, as they increase the immersion and together with the playmat they made the game much more pleasant. Our terrains are also suitable for tabletop role-playing games, where with a few hills you can imitate the fight in an appropriate enviroment.”
