Masters of Magic, War, and Flame

Every wargame has its own lore. And most of the time, that lore includes a source of conflict.

Let’s be honest here: without a reason, there wouldn’t be any fighting. Most of the time, everyone hates everyone, and thus that’s why we have a wargame, not an adventure or a narrative-driven game.

In Conquest, the reason is quite simple. The old world order collapsed after the death of Hazlia – the god of the Old Dominion – and the world fell into chaos. Every faction in this game is either trying to restore the old world order or at least bring some stability to the chaos. Of course, that’s a very simplified version of the Lore.

Amidst all this, the Sorcerer Kings have a very different goal. Unlike the others, they seek to overwrite the existing world according to their own will. They discovered that power does not lie with the gods (whom the other factions still worship) but in the surrounding elements. It is the elements that shape the world, and it is over them that the Sorcerer Kings seek to gain control. They seek to break the barrier between the material world and the Elemental Domains, forging a new order – one where not the gods, but they themselves hold absolute power.

Want to learn a little more about them? If so, check out this article, where we showcase a fully painted Sorcerer Kings army along with a detailed breakdown of its units.

Sorcerer Kings - Warriors, Spirits, and Monsters

Characters - Masters of Sorcerer Kings' Arcane Might

Each of Sorcerer Kings Characters wields abilities beyond mortal understanding, drawing from the elemental forces that shape the world itself. They are masters of elemental magic, using the destructive nature of elements during battle.

Maharajah - The Arcane Apex of the Sorcerer Kings

A Maharajah is a being who has moved beyond mortality, one step below the Sorcerer Kings themselves.

Their mastery over the Elemental Domains is so complete that even the most powerful entities of those realms bow to their will. Maharajahs are the ultimate architects of the Sorcerer King’s vision.

Raj - The Burning Blade

A Raj governs the great Enclaves (settlements of mortals under Sorcerer Kings rule), ensuring that the flow of magical knowledge and resources never ceases.

Unlike Sorcerers bound to the Elemental Courts, a Raj remains grounded in the world of men, bridging the gap between the Sorcerer Kings and the mortals beneath them.

Yeah, most of the units are in flames.

Sorcerers - The Elemental Scholar

To be named a Sorcerer by the Elemental Courts is to wield a power far beyond the comprehension of lesser mortals.

Each Sorcerer’s journey is unique, but all seek one thing: deeper understanding of elements, and with it, control over the very fabric of reality.

Sardar - The Unbreakable Commander

A Sardar is a leader of absolute authority within the Sorcerer Kings’ armies.

He is a battle-hardened leader chosen from the ranks of the Rajakur. Trained in both warfare and command, they bring the will of the Sorcerers to perfect execution.

Favored of Hormus - The Cloudborne Disciple

The Favored of Hormus is as the name sugessts: the favourite of the one of Sorcerer Kings – Homus.

Chosen to carry out his will, they wield elemental power and move between worlds. Most of the Sorcerers use Fire element to fight. Favoured use wind and thunder instead.

To emphasize Favoured fighting style, we gave it custom clouds with thunders beneath it.

We made this "cloud" base from scratch.

Monsters - Beasts of the Sorcerer Kings' Dominion

The Sorcerer Kings have drawn elemental creatures into their service, binding them through ancient rites. Each serves as a tool of their greater ambition.

Rakshasa Ravanar - The Destroyer’s Hunger

Born of corrupted elemental forces, Rakshasa Ravanar is a being of annihilation. Their existence is tied to the very concept of destruction: wherever they walk, the old world crumbles.

...this kitty will bite your arm off.

Rakshasa Bakasura - The Four-Bladed Warrior

The Bakasura are not mindless beasts of chaos like many of their Rakshasa kin. Instead, they are precise hunters, creatures of intelligence and efficiency. Each Bakasura is armed with four curved blades.

...or stone-cold killer.

Mahut - The Skyborne Colossus

The Mahut are stone constructs animated by the will of earlier mentioned Hormus. Their origins lie in the loss of his most beloved war beast, a great elephant that perished in battle. In his sorrow, Hormus sought to recreate it, sculpting hundreds of statues, each imbued with the power of the elements. None, however, have satisfied him.

This one particular is very special, because we made it with custom wings!

And we made sure to give him proper colourfull painting.

Brutes - Spirits of Fire and Storm

The Sorcerer Kings command beings forged from elemental chaos, bound to serve their will:

  • The Efreet Flamecasters wield fire as a weapon, channeling destruction with every gesture.
  • The Efreet Sword Dancers move like living flames with supernatural speed.
  • The Windborne Djinns strike from the skies, unseen until it is too late.
  • The Steelheart Djinn are living weapons, forged from elemental might.

Those guys shurely know how to lit a party.

Infantry - The Mortal Armies of the Sorcerer Kings

The Sorcerer Kings do not rely on spirits alone. Mortals march in their name, trained from birth to uphold their rule.

The Dhanur Disciples, master archers of the Enclaves, strike with unmatched precision, while the Rajakur, armored in enchanted steel, form the backbone of every army.

The Mahabharati Initiates, bonded to minor elementals, blend magic with martial skill, while the Ghols, twisted by failed experiments, burn with mindless rage.

Finally guys not covered in flames!
