Be’Lakor, the Dark Master
Be’lakor, the first Daemon Prince, was created by the combined power of the Chaos Gods. Unlike others who swore allegiance to a single god, Be’lakor played the gods against each other to gain their favor. This made him too powerful, so the gods created new Daemon Princes loyal only to them.
Despite being surpassed, Be’lakor remains a master manipulator. He uses shadows and whispers to sow discord and ruin, wielding the Blade of Shadows to strike down his foes at the opportune moment. He is a powerful demigod who craves the Chaos Gods’ favor, but his jealousy and malice ensure he remains a constant threat.
Take a look at how we finished the skin of the model – you may notice many thin lines that come together in a cohesive highlight. This is a technique we use often!
Vashtorr the Arkifane
Vashtorr, the “God in the Machine,” isn’t a typical Chaos entity. Unlike those fueled by emotions like rage or excess, Vashtorr thrives on unchecked scientific ambition and technological innovation, especially the kind that pushes boundaries and leads to horrifying creations. He embodies the darkness that lurks within boundless curiosity, feeding off mortals’ relentless pursuit of progress regardless of the cost.
This demigod of inventors and engineers, also known as Vashtorr the Arkifane, rules over the Forge of Souls within the Chaos realm. Here, fueled by mortal ambition, he crafts daemonic weapons and engines for the endless war. Though he claims independence from the Chaos Gods, his power stems from their influence, a twisted reflection of their hunger for dominance.
For metallic parts of the model we used True Metallic Metal and light stippling method to create additional layers of structure and worn metal look.
Custodes Blade Champion
The Adeptus Custodes are humanity’s elite guardians, sworn to protect the Emperor of Mankind. While most Custodes train extensively in defensive maneuvers to form an impenetrable wall around the Imperial Palace, Blade Champions take a different path. These warriors are honed into offensive powerhouses, their sole purpose to eliminate any threat before it can reach the Emperor.
This singular focus translates into relentless training within the Colosseia Auris, a dedicated combat arena within the Imperial Palace. Here, Blade Champions dedicate themselves to mastering the Martial Ka’tahs, the ancient fighting styles of the Custodes.
As you may see we did a small conversion and replaced the original blade with a flaming sword. Additionally, the left hand is armed with a molten dagger. Painter boosted the effect by light OSL effect on the shoulder pad.
