In the presence of the Goddess of Life: Sylvaneth - Alarielle, the Everqueen conversion
When we think about God-like entities, epithets such as greatness, splendor, and awesomeness come to mind. They hold incredible powers that ordinary mortals have never even dreamed of.
In short: they are badass. And cool. And powerful. And… we think you get the point.
Alarielle, the Goddess of nature and life from Age of Sigmar, is no different. She represents everything that is right and just, fighting with her Spear of Kurnoth in one hand and summoning healing pollen with the other. In the lore, she is presented riding a Wardroth Beetle, and that’s how she is displayed in the official miniature.
However, putting a great Goddess on a beetle was (and still is)… debatable among Age of Sigmar fans. The official miniature lacks greatness and is a little bit too small to show the true potential of the powerful Goddess.
With this in mind, we came up with an idea to give Alarielle, the Everqueen, a proper and Lore-correct representation.
Check out the result below!

From dream to reality
We started by looking for an ideal setting for Alarielle. We knew that a forest environment would perfectly reflect her elven ancestry. After a little bit of research, customer decided to use the 3D-printed Forest Dragon from MyMiniFactory.com. You can see the model here.
Once printed, we began the task of cleaning the Dragon from supports. This was a particularly tricky process, as the small leaves were fragile and easy to break, requiring a great deal of patience to handle properly. After the additional cleaning and smoothing, we moved on to the next stage of the project.
The assembly process was not yet completed at this stage. The final step of gluing everything together was completed only after painting Alarielle and the Dragon separately.

From reality to the final model
The final and most important step was also a significant challenge. One common trait of 3D-printed models is the lack of a clear preview of how the finished project should look. Everything relied on the skill and creativity of one of our lead artists, Kinga.

“I began searching for references, exploring photos and of serene forests from around the world. Eventually, I stumbled upon a stunning image where sunlight poured through the leaves, creating a mesmerizing effect. Inspired by this, I set out to replicate that play of light on the Forest Dragon’s foliage”.
Of course, the Everqueen blends here perfectly. Kinga also decided to deviate from the typical style of painting Alarielle, to match the overall setting. Her wings are also blended with sunlight from above, and other elements of her clothing and armour were harmonized with the overall tones.

Finally, we needed an appropriate base, which we carefully prepared to match the overall setting. Once the base was ready, we attached Alarielle to the entire structure.
