40k – Horus Heresy World Eaters

World Eaters: From Brutal Legion to Khorne's Dogs

The World Eaters are a fearsome Chaos Space Marine legion in the Warhammer 40k universe. Originally the loyal XIIth Legion, known as the War Hounds, they were corrupted by Chaos and became devoted servants of the Blood God Khorne.

This army for the Warhammer 40k is painted in their Horus Heresy white-blue color pattern. We love this kind of creative experiment as it lets our imagination go wild!

If you also want your army painted in a non-box art color pattern, let us know!

Savage Beginnings

The World Eaters’ fall was influenced by their Primarch, Angron. Raised as a slave gladiator on the brutal world of Nuceria, he was implanted with the Butcher’s Nails – devices that fueled rage and aggression. Angron, though a powerful warrior, resented the Emperor for taking him from his comrades’ last stand.

Unstoppable Force

The World Eaters became infamous for their brutal tactics and reliance on close combat. Angron implemented a flawed version of the Butcher’s Nails on his legion, granting immense strength but fostering uncontrollable bloodlust. This resulted in atrocities like the butchering of Ghenna’s population.

Embrace of Chaos

The World Eaters were at the forefront of the Horus Heresy, the rebellion against the Emperor. By the war’s end, Angron and his legion were fully corrupted by Khorne. They became mindless berserkers, reveling in slaughter and destruction.

A Fractured Legion

After the Heresy, the World Eaters descended further into madness. They splintered into warbands, each vying for the most bloodshed in Khorne’s name. Angron, ascended to Daemon Prince, occasionally unites them, but their true purpose is endless war and the collection of skulls for their patron god.
