We want to present you fell, traitor legion for Warhammer 40k. Once they were soldiers in the service of the Emperor of Mankind and led by their Primarch, Magnus the Red and then they betrayed the Empire of Man, standing hand in hand with Horus and becoming Chaos Space Marines boundlessly devoted to Tzeentch.
Though they were formerly the XVth Legion of Space Marines of the Imperium of Man, the Thousand Sons are one of the Traitor Legions of Chaos Space Marines who are dedicated only to the service of Tzeentch, the Chaos God of change, intrigue, and sorcery. The overwhelming amount of psyker mutations that have always existed among the Space Marines in this Legion sets the Thousand Sons apart from the other Traitor Legions.
All contemporary Legion members have psychic skills, and they favor using Chaos Sorcerers and cunning in battle, depending on their psychic abilities and sorcerous expertise to secure victory.
Every Thousand Sons Astartes that lacked psychic abilities had his soul merged directly into his power armor as a result of an ancient spell known as the Rubric of Ahriman, which was cast shortly after the Thousand Sons left their homeworld of Prospero during the early Horus Heresy. The Lord of Change’s will and the might of Chaos have transformed the Thousand Sons into living manifestations of magic.
